Chapter 766 Her Kid Is Still Alive
Chapter 766 Her Kid Is Still Alive
Instead of agreeing, Chloe said, "But I don't know you. You come up to me out of nowhere and want to make a deal with me? That’s pretty suspicious, isn't it?"
Cyrus knew she was testing him, so he said calmly, "Joseph must’ve told you about me."
Her scalp tingled, and she instantly guessed the identity of the man before her. "You're a Sinclair... Otto is your son?"
"For the past five years, I've been well aware of how your child is doing, whether it's a boy or a girl, and where they are now. I can return the child to you, as long as you agree to my conditions."
Chloe's heart leaped into her throat as she stared at the elegant and amiable man in front of her. She tightly clenched her fist and asked, "My child...has been with you all this time?"
Cyrus smiled faintly. "No. He has been living quite a happy life."
She let out a sigh of relief but knew she could not fully trust him. She knew to keep her distance from such a dangerous person, but she was worried about her child's well-being. What's more, she was curious about the deal Cyrus mentioned.
"Let's find a cafe to sit down and talk, shall we?"
If they were in a public place, he would not be able to do anything to her.
"We can talk right here. There’s no need to waste time," Cyrus replied reasonably.
Chloe was taken aback. "What’s the deal then?"
"Find this woman and provide me with information," he said as he handed her a stack of photos.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
As Chloe went through them, her brows furrowed. There were over a hundred photos, all showing Joseph's mother from different angles—some candid, some posed. In every single one, she wore a numb and lifeless expression. Upon closer examination, there was a hint of disgust and aversion on her face.
She recalled Joseph saying that Cyrus was obsessed with his mother. She knew too well the feeling of being imprisoned, so she returned the photos to him and said, "I haven't seen her. I can't help you."
"Yes, you have. She's somewhere around you," Cyrus said as a sinister expression crossed his benevolent face. "She had plastic surgery."
"Have you seen what she looks like after the surgery?"
"No."
"Then how can you be sure she went under the knife?"
"Do you want to make a deal or not?" Cyrus answered her question with another question, maintaining his upper hand.
After pondering for a few seconds, Chloe replied, "I don't think I can find her."
"I'll provide you with clues."
While Joseph’s mother’s appearance had changed, her habits and some physical characteristics could not be altered unless she changed she had gotten a completely different body.
"I won't do it." Chloe shook her head firmly.
Cyrus narrowed his eyes and said, "That's fine, I won't force you, but then I won’t guarantee that your child will survive till the day you find them."
"Don't bother with trying to trick me. You probably don't even know where my child is," Chloe retorted.
Unfazed, Cyrus gave her another photograph. "You’ve never seen your child's face, have you?"
Her gaze fell on the picture, and her breath skipped a beat. It depicted a man holding a newborn baby, with the hospital where the fire had occurred in the background.
Her kid was still alive.

Chloe rushed to the airport after buying the coat. Since it had taken her some time to talk to Cyrus, Noah was already there by the time she arrived. He was chatting and laughing with an attractive woman.
As soon as he noticed her, his gaze softened as he called out, "Over here, Chloe."
"Sorry, there was heavy traffic along the way," Chloe apologized.
"It's fine, the doctor just got here too. Chloe, this is Zoelle. You can just call her Dr. Z," he introduced.
Zoelle extended her hand with a charming smile, "Hello, Noah’s future wife."
"Hello, I'm not sure if the coat I bought is suitable." Chloe forced out a smile.
Surprised by the cold sweat on Chloe's palm, Zoelle instinctively reached out to feel her pulse. "Are you feeling unwell?"
