“Oh my dear child, I would say you were in love and that was why everything felt like it made sense to you, but truly, nothing actually made sense. When you are in love, you will be blinded by love,” she said.
“Really?” Lily asked.
“Yes, what I would need you to do now is to be patient. Everything will be fine and will fall back in place. As for Cayden, just give him some time, he would come back for you. Remember, it is ways advisable to be patient,” her granny said.
Lily then decided to calm down and focus on what was at hand, and then she started preparing for her final contest.
She was going to make a very lovely dish. It was her favorite, and it was a simple dish, but it tasted exquisite. She planned to take her audience surprised, hoping the judges were going to love her food.
The next day, Lily went early to the venue and started to prepare, she wanted to practice one more time when she saw Jarod approaching her. She didn’t hesitate to ask him what he wanted, abruptly.
Jarod began to look pitiful, and I would rather not fall for that at all.
“Speak!” I urged him.
“I came to ask for forgiveness, Lily. I am so sorry, I had a reason for acting that way but, nevertheless, I am so sorry. Please forgive me,” he pleaded.
“Please leave, I would rather not hear any plea of yours,” I said.
Jarod left without pleading again, and then I sighed. As I was about to continue, my evil classmates came over. I knew they were up to something again, they always made me feel bad through insults and sarcasm.
“Hey everybody, Lily just succeeded in driving her baby daddy away,” they all laughed.
I didn’t want to care about what they were saying, as I didn’t want anyone to spoil my mood. Today was a big day of mine, and I was not going to allow anyone to step on me.
“You were born for stupid and bad men, lily. Can’t you come to terms with that? Don’t you believe us?” Jane said.
“Yeah, lily. You should believe us as we are always watching, so we have already noticed,” another classmate said.
“You know, you might probably have a lot of them, but I do not think you are going to get married to any man who is fantastic,” the Samantha said.
“Yeah guys, didn’t you all notice that she is always attracted to poor men?” Jane said.
They all affirmed it sarcastically and began to laugh at her, pointing fingers at her.
“Now, let’s talk about your cooking skills, they taste like whack, like what the hell! I wonder what useless confidence you have right now for you to think you actually are worthy to participating. I bet the judge won’t like your food. After all, you are a lily,” Sophia said.
They all laughed again, making sure that she felt bad.
“Do you probably want to cry?” They laughed again.
“What if I can prove to you that I can cook well enough? Would you admit that I am a good cook?” Lily spoke out.
“Wow, really? Are you sure you are confident enough to hear the truth?” One said.
“And nothing but the truth?” They all teased and laughed.
“Yes!” She said.Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
I believed that they would taste my food and be wowed by it. Even if they hesitate to tell the truth, I would see it in their expression. Lily began to cook as her classmates sat. Some were watching her while some were taking pictures of themselves, the others were playing games or chatting.
Lily looked at them with one eye and was ready to blow their minds.

CAYDEN’S POV
I do not know if she would still welcome me with a willing heart when I go for her competition. I am actually having a hard time trying to decipher the situation we had yesterday. It definitely looked like she was really hurt by what I said.
I walked and paced around my house, thinking of what to do and checking my watch. Would I prefer to watch her on TV or go there to watch her live?
I wished I could get someone to advise me on what to do. I went to my bedroom, put off my clothes and went to the bathroom and turned on the shower. Furthermore, I felt the water relieving me from any stress my brain could be going through at that moment.
Likewise, I knew I was tensed and sometimes, going under the shower was just the right thing to do. I was done in the bathroom and I felt better, I took up a new outfit and wore it then I went back to my sitting room and turned on the TV.
Time would tell whether I was going to attend or not.

LILY’S POV
I had started cooking and could sense they were salivating because of the aroma. But I needed comments or a satisfied expression to be sure.
When I was done, I served it into small plates for them each, and they all savored it and ate it.
All of a sudden, I saw them all making disgusted reactions at the food, and they dropped it and all laughed at me.
“We told you, didn’t we? Stop trying so hard,” Sophia said.
“What do you mean! You all are just acting like it’s tasting bad, I can’t believe otherwise,” I said in anger.
I was finally able to fight back because I was controlled by emotions and this was a big day of mine when I needed encouragement, not discouragement.
“You really think you cook differently? Look at the other contestants, they are big in this game. Do you think you can stand a chance to winning them?,” Jane said, with seriousness and a touch of sarcasm.
