Chapter 416 I Was So Lucky To Have You Around (Part One)
"Violet, I know this may be hard for you. But can you think about keeping the baby?
The baby is already three months old. Don't you feel any attachment to him or her yet? How can you
just give up on the baby?" William asked in disbelief.
A deep furrow appeared between his brows as he held the colored ultrasound paper in his hand.
No matter what happened between him and Violet, this was still a life they were talking about. After all,
it was his own flesh and blood. How could he just let her have an abortion so casually like that?
"Haha. That's hilarious, Mr. William. Did you completely forget what you have said to me earlier? What?
All of a sudden you see an ultrasound of the baby and it suddenly becomes real to you? So you can
suddenly change your mind about not keeping the baby then? To this point, all you care about is the
baby. Our relationship still means nothing to you, right?" Violet sneered.
She couldn't eat or sleep well for the past two months. Since she didn't take good care of herself, she
was thinner than before. Other people couldn't tell that she was about three months pregnant.
She even hid it from Carla. Even Carla couldn't tell either that Violet was pregnant.
"Violet." William muttered. He wasn't sure what to say.
"Mr. William, listen to me carefully. Whether you did it out of your own free will or not, you are having a
child with another woman. You chose to be with her instead of me. You can have a happy family with
her and your child right now.
I won't bother you anymore, so don't bother me either. Don't meddle in my affairs. You've already made
it very clear how you feel about me and the baby. It's none of your business whether I keep the baby or
not!"
Violet violently opened the door and stormed out of the room.
Carla who was waiting and sitting on a bench outside, suddenly stood up. She hurriedly walked up to
her.
"Carla, let's go."
Violet grabbed Carla's arms and quickly walked towards the main door. As she turned around, she let
out deep breaths. She tried her best to keep her tears from falling. She was falling apart. Seeing
William again almost destroyed her. She couldn't feign toughness anymore.
Looking at Violet's distressed face, Carla didn't say a word and helped her out of the building. When
they reached the car, Violet started crying. Carla hugged her and patted her back, consoling her. It took
a long time for Violet's tears to subside.
Violet raised her head and took deep breaths. She felt so much better after she had a good cry.
Pretending to be uncaring and blasé was killing her. Now that she finally let her emotions go, she was
feeling more refreshed.
"Carla, thank you. Thank you for being here."
Carla was also feeling hurt seeing her friend in pain. Violet's eyes were red and puffy from crying. Carla
let out a deep sigh. She stared at Violet's belly and asked, "What are you going to do with the baby?"
When Violet and William were in the room, she heard a bit of their conversation. It never occurred to
her that Violet was pregnant with William's child.
It was the last thing that she would have imagined. As a friend, Carla didn't have any suspicions that
Violet was having a baby.
"So you heard our conversation? Don't worry. I'm going to keep the baby. I didn't mean it when I told
him that I was getting an abortion. I just wanted to piss him off and show him that he can't control me."
Violet wiped some of the tears from her face and forced out a smile.
"So you want to keep the baby? What's are your plans for the future?" Carla was surprised when she
heard Violet's decision. It was not an easy thing for an unmarried woman to raise a child alone after all.
"I will raise the baby on my own. Having an abortion is the easy way out. It can help me move on from
William and get on with my own life. But this baby has been in my body for some time now. I've
developed a fondness and attachment to him. He is so strong and survived all the crises that we were
going through together. As his mother, I can't just give up on him like that. He deserves to live."
Violet's eyes filled with love. "From now on, I will take better care of myself and prepare myself for
motherhood. If I'm going to give birth to a fat and healthy baby, I need to start preparing now. No matter
what, at least I will have a child to keep me company in the future. I won't be alone because I'll have
him!"
Carla was skeptical during the first half of Violet's speech. But by the second half, Carla could only
deeply sigh again. She reached gently for Violet's hands. "Violet, how about you move in with me? If
you need help, I'm there. But if I'm not around, I have plenty of servants at my place. I'm sure that they
can take good care of you if needed."
Carla's house was big enough for Violet to move in comfortably. Carla would also be able to lay her
worries about Violet being alone to rest.
Violet knew what Carla was thinking. She shook her head firmly and smiled. "No, Carla. I appreciate Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
your kindness. But it won't be necessary. I'll be fine. Don't worry. And I am sorry but I will be unable to
attend your wedding. I want to leave this place. I want to settle down somewhere quiet, where no one
knows who I am and start over.
But don't worry about me. After my child is born, we will take time to visit you!"
"What? Moving? Violet, calm down and think clearly. Where are you going with the baby?" Carla
worriedly asked. She grabbed Violet's hands tightly, looking anxious.
"I haven't thought about it yet. There are so many suitable places out there. But no matter where I end
up, I promise you that I will take good care of myself, okay?"
Violet slightly shook her head and tightly squeezed Carla's hands. "Carla, do you know? Sometimes I
feel so jealous of you. You have a loving mother and a loving man in your life, whereas I don't have
either. But we all have our own destiny. I've already accepted it and I don't blame anyone for it.
Congratulations in advance on your marriage. I hope that you live a wonderful, loving life that will make
me and all the other women in the world jealous to death!
I know I currently don't have a lovely man like Terrence who can take good care of me for the rest of
my life, but you do, sweetheart. So I wish you a brand new future with your loved one!" Her words were
caring and loving, but her tone was tinged with pain and sadness.
