Chapter 542 The Young Boy In The Hall (Part One)
Chapter 542 The Young Boy In The Hall (Part One)
Carla was now fully awake. After checking her surroundings, the familiar environment managed to calm
her down. Realizing that it was just a dream, she let out a sigh of relief.
"I thought I was floating in the water again. The persistent feeling of being so helpless and hopeless
came rushing back to me. It was so terrifying! I had no idea where to go or what could happen next..."
"Shh, it's alright, it's alight. I'm here with you! You don't have to be scared." Holding her tightly in his
arms, Terence said, "We're not going to do anything dangerous anymore. Just trust me, okay?
Everything's gonna be alright!"
Nodding her head, Carla said, "Okay, and I'll be extra careful from now on as well! I swear I won't do
anything reckless in the future."
Having been through something like that, Carla understood how precious her life was for her and
everyone who loved her. Knowing that, she would not easily throw her life away for someone who didn't
mean a thing to her.
On top of that, she had Sally now. So, she would have to think things through before making a
decision. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
"That's good to hear! As the old proverb goes, 'One who survives a great disaster is destined to good
fortune forever, '" Terence softly said as he rubbed her shoulders to ease her tension.
"Since you're finally back now, it means you're going to have a long life to spend with me!"
Carla simply bobbed her head in response. A lot had happened since that unfortunate event four years
ago. So, thinking that Terence had a point, she hoped that everything would really get better in time.
All of a sudden, something popped up in her mind. She stared at him in a state of bewilderment.
"Terence, do you remember who it was that prepared the food for me last night?"
Carla asked, hoping that some of his memories had come back.
Hearing this, Terence flicked her forehead and smiled from ear to ear. "Of course! I was the one who
made it for you! Did you forget? Or is it that you're just trying to test me?"
Upon hearing his response, Carla felt a bit disillusioned. Looking so downcast, she pulled the sheet
over and turned her body to the other side. Then, she closed her eyes and tried to just go back to
sleep.
Seeing her looking so down in the dumps, Terence couldn't help but feel a bit irritated. "Carla, do you
understand what you're doing right now? Tell me, what have I done to make you feel that way?
I don't have a screw loose. I mean, who else could it possibly be if it wasn't me who did that for you last
night? It's true that I did forget something in the past, but nothing has really changed! I'm still me! And
my memories are coming back little by little!"
The way she acted really got on his nerves.
"Oh? Are you really? Then, do you remember how we first met?"
Carla flatly asked.
"It was back in BH City. I was being chased by the hitmen who were sent by my eldest brother to
dispose of me. And you happened to pass me by and save me while you were on your way to deliver
food," Terence replied right away without having to think too much about it.
Carla was amazed by his quick response for a moment. After that, she couldn't hold back her
excitement. "How were you able to remember it?"
"I told you, I am gradually getting back all of those memories. So, can you please cut me some slack
and give me a bit more time?" Terence replied as he tapped her nose.
No matter how strong he might have been, he was still just a man. He also went through a lot of
hardships and had been traumatized for quite a long time. A number of therapists had tried to hide
away those memories for him, so it should be understandable that his memories wouldn't all return so
easily.
No matter how hard he tried to think about it, it would still take some time before he could remember
everything.
As a smile crept onto her face, Carla kissed him on the lips. "Okay, honey! I got it! I won't push you so
hard anymore! Let's just go back to sleep!"
"Humph! How am I supposed to do that! You made me so upset that I can't go back to sleep anymore!"
Terence retorted. Then, in the blink of an eye, he was already on top of her. Lifting her chin up, he had
quite a smug look on his face. "Okay, tell me right now. How do you plan to make up for it?"
"Hmm... I can call Nathan and Rainer over to fight with you for a bit on the third floor so you can
release all of your pent up anger. What do you think?" Carla answered after pondering about it for a
while.
Curling his lips, Terence said, "You made the bed. You have to lay on it. You can't just ask other people
to do it for you!"
Upon saying that, he leaned in closer and tried to plant a kiss on her luscious lips. But she was quick to
react and managed to cover them with her hands.
"My dear husband! We already did it this morning. And we just did it again before going to sleep. Can
you please give me a break? The sun is about to rise any minute now."
Carla was well aware that he wasn't able to get some for about four years. That being said, they
already did it so many times today.
With his eyebrows deeply knit, Terence pressed her hands against the bed and said, "Nope."
Because of that, Carla cried out in disagreement and tried to push him away and escape from his
clutch.
However, it was all just a vain attempt in the end. Her man was already raring to make love to her. Her
struggling and begging only helped to turn him on even more.
