Chapter 579 I Want to Stop It
Noah stared at her. "That's my own decision. It has nothing to do with Sophia. I admit I've been too
persistent and always fancied about Sophia while ignoring you."
"Gloria, I don't know how others treat me exactly, but I know how nice you are to me."
"I didn't say those words recklessly but based on my consideration. I cannot stay single all my life. I
must continue the Greenspan family line. I'll get married eventually, so why can't I marry someone
loving me?"
"My wife must be you. Only you. Understand?"
Gloria had never seen Noah stare at her so affectionately and earnestly, thinking he was indeed
charming. He made her feel as if she was his whole world.
Noah had made promises to her before but had never looked at her like this.
He was always cold to her and sometimes angry with her.
Several times, she wished he could stare at her seriously, even just for a glance.
"Do you really mean it?"
His promise and proposal came too suddenly for Gloria to keep calm. She wondered if she was
dreaming and if she would lose everything after waking up.
Noah nodded. "I am serious, Gloria. I don't need to lie to you in so many people's presence. I'm
responsible for what I say."
Another critical reason he proposed to her was that no other woman could have treated his mother as
kindly as Gloria had.
Although his mother had made millions of mistakes, Noah still treasured his mother and thought she
was his most important family.
Gloria didn't know how to respond to him. She was supposed to say yes, but somehow, she couldn't
utter a word.
She panicked. Finally, her wish came true, but she hesitated. She wondered if she was out of her mind.
Chloe prompted her, "Gloria, hurry! Answer him. You've been waiting for him for such a long time. Now
your wish has come true. We've heard Noah's promise. We would be your witnesses if he broke his
word one day."
'Be my witnesses? For real?'
Helena walked to her. "Gloria, don't be afraid. I can tell Noah meant what he said. If you are willing, you
should accept his proposal."
"If not, you'll never be with him for the rest of your life."
Gloria was convinced.
She had two options now. Either she gave Noah a positive answer and might face a path she had
longed for long without regret. Or she rejected Noah. Then she should stop loving him and forget about
him.
"Yes, Noah."
Gloria was willing, whether it was just a dream. If she succeeded, it would be perfect. If not, she
wouldn't have any regret.
Noah smiled at her brightly.
Gloria still couldn't believe it, wondering if he had smiled because of her answer.
'Does Noah also care about me as much as I care about him?'
Noah pulled Gloria away to tell the good news to Mr. And Mrs. Warburg.
Thus, the tense atmosphere became relaxing.
Sophia glanced at others and said, "Stop looking at me like this. You should know Noah well. He won't
have done it only to save me from trouble. He proposed to Gloria after considering carefully."
Others thought about it for a while and believed her words made sense.
It was not bad, though. At least Noah wouldn't regret his decision in the future.
However, after Gloria made a mess, they couldn't continue to make fun of Travis.
Although Travis said he was one of the Warburgs, he couldn't be kicked out of the Lawson family for
real. After all, the Lawson and the Warburg families had become one big family from then on.
All the guests were chatting and laughing. Sometimes, elders talked about Charles, Edwin, and Bard.
"Charles, Edwin, Bard, you should hurry up. If not, you might be single for the rest of your lives."
Edwin replied leisurely, "Isn't it good to be single? Women are too troublesome. I'd rather be single all
my life."
"What do you mean?" Chloe strode up and wanted to hit him. However, once she raised her arm, she
felt something wrong.
Bailey immediately noticed it and asked, "What's wrong, Chloe? Are you all right?"
"I... My belly hurts!"
Others surrounded her immediately.
Sophia reacted quickly. She opened up her arms and blocked others. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
"Stop coming around. Chloe might give birth soon."
Others suggested, "Call the ambulance!"
"No, thanks. I'll drive her to the hospital." Bailey scooped Chloe up.
After the nutritionists carefully took care of Chloe during her pregnancy, she still gained much weight.
Bailey, however, easily carried her as if he was holding a feather.
Others made their way.
None of the Duncans and the Thomas had the mood to stay at the ceremony. They bid the Warburgs
farewell and followed Bailey and Chloe.
Helena asked Travis, "Shall we end the ceremony now? We can let others entertain the guests. Let's
go to the hospital together."
Travis was also thinking so. His assistant happened to be here, so he left everything to his assistant.
Then dozens of people sat in their cars, heading for the hospital.
Chloe had been sent into the delivery room. Bailey put on a protective suit and watched Chloe all the
time.
The baby wanted to come out without any sign. Chloe's belly hurt so much that she cried out in pain.
Bailey held her hand tightly. "I'm here, Chloe. Don't be afraid. We'll watch our baby be born."
"Honey, my belly hurts so much. I want to stop giving birth after this one." Chloe almost broke down.
"OK. OK. We won't have another baby. It's our only one."
"Boohoo... I want to stop it now... It hurts!"
Bailey couldn't do anything but console her.
He had never experienced the delivery pain. Yet even Chloe who was always strong could not tolerate
the pain. He realized it must be unimaginably painful.
Bailey wanted to do something for her but could only hold her hand.
"Doc, can we choose painless delivery? What should we do?"
"There are many ways. Which way do you prefer?"
Before the doctor explained, Bailey was out of his patience. He replied, "All of them. All of them."
The doctor was speechless.
She patiently explained, "Mister, I understand you feel sorry for your wife. You can only choose one
way."
