Millie had agreed to drop by the hotel as per Terrence’s request because she might need his help to pay Winston. NôvelDrama.Org © content.

She wandered to the bar in the Grand Santiago Hotel before going to the front desk. She asked, “May I know the directions to this room?”

At the same time, Winston entered the hotel. Holding his phone, he reported in a deep voice, “I’m here.”

He took the elevator, only to notice that Millie had joined him. Frowning, he scanned her from head to

toe.

They hadn’t met for a day, but when they ran into each other, they treated each other as enemies; none was willing to back down.

“Dear ex–husband, what exactly is it that you do for work? Why did it require you to be at the hotel?” she taunted him.

He ignored her, his expression flat. She stole a look at him when she realized they were headed to the same floor.

He was clad in a formal black suit. The warm lighting in the elevator cast a soft glow on his face. His thick lashes cast a shadow under his eyes. His pursed lips looked shapely.

Millie dared not take another look. She looked away and placed a hand over her heart to calm her

nerves.

Winston glanced at Millie too, but his eyes were devoid of feelings. She was dressed prettily that day in a simple dress, sexy but different from usual. She looked elegant and poised, her hair casually tied into a bun. She was petite.

When the doors slid open, she shuffled

way..

Out quickly. He followed suit, and they walked down the same

She couldn’t help but look at him. He marched past her and stopped at the entrance of a suite. Similarly, she stopped at the door of a suite, feeling relieved to learn that they were headed to different

rooms.

They knocked on the doors at the same time. Millie’s mysterious person answered the door first. She gaped at him when she recognized him. “Why are you back?”

Hearing her gasps, Winston turned to look at her and caught a glimpse of a male. He wrapped an arm around Millie’s shoulder for a hug and led her into the suite.

Winston frowned. Why was Millje at the hotel to meet with a man? Who was he, and why did he hug and touch Millie?

As Winston stared in their direction, his mind began to wander. He didn’t notice the door in front of him opening.

“Mr. Greer?”

He collected himself. After a pause, he grunted and said to his guest, “Welcome to Yerwick, Mr.

Mester.”

He stole a glance at Millie’s suite before stepping into his business partner’s suite. Out of the blue, he recalled her caustic remark in the elevator.

She had said to him, “Dear ex–husband, what exactly is it that you do for work? Why did it require your

to be at the hotel?”

Narrowing his eyes, he thought, “And what about her? Why is she ‘working‘ at a hotel suite?”

Soon, he gathered himself, deciding that her hotel meeting was none of his business.

At 10:00 pm, Millie left the suite, saying, “I’ll be back tomorrow! Have a good rest: I hope you get over the jet lag soon.”

Winston emerged from his suite at the same time, just in time to overhear the man replying tenderly,” Alright, alright. Our lovely Mills is nagging a lot nowadays!”

He walked closer to the suite with his eyes narrowed, but the door slammed shut. He clearly caught sight of the back of a man.

Who was that mysterious man? Was it Simon? Did her relationship with Simon reach a new stage?

Not only were they

Ouching and hugging, but they also exchanged suggestive remarks. That would explain Millie’s determination to get a divorce.

Winston thought bitterly, “She’s certainly a charming woman who’s never short of admirers!”

However, he couldn’t get over the fact that Mie was cheating on him before their divorce. Therefore he instinctively followed her after they both left the hotel.’

She didn’t go anywhere and headed home right after, which puzzled him. Frustrated, he rapped his knuckles on the steering wheel.

At that moment, he received a text with a news headline that read, “Simon Harrison of Harrison Group Spotted with Mystery Woman at a Hotel!”
