Take Me Away

Chapter 83 The First Snow In Winter (Part One)

Chapter 83 The First Snow In Winter (Part One)

As soon as the ambulances carrying Ryan and Celine reached the hospital nearest to the airport, the

two of them were rushed to the operating rooms.

Standing outside the operating room, Fiona watched Ryan, who was lying unconscious on the

stretcher, being taken inside. All of a sudden, she heard someone yell in a threatening tone.

"I'm warning you! Be careful when you're removing the bullet from her body. You are not to make any

mistakes!"

Fiona turned around and saw Spencer terrorizing the doctors and grabbing one of their collars.

She shook her head

and exhaled disapprovingly.

"Yes, yes!" With a nod, the doctor pushed the stretcher carrying Celine and fled into the operating

room.

Finally relaxing a little, Spencer tilted his head up and met Fiona's gaze. Their eyes stayed locked for

quite a while, but both of them stayed silent, expressionless.

Just then, Charles walked up to Fiona and said, "Aren't you going to him? I didn't expect Ryan and

Celine to be in the operating rooms on the floor same."

Tearing her gaze away from Spencer, Fiona answered, "No. Thank you for helping me at the airport."

"It was nothing. I'm glad you're okay." With a faint smile on his lips, Charles raised his hand and

smoothed Fiona's unkempt hair.

Seeing this from the corner of his eye, Spencer became enraged. 'Damn it! Charles really wants

something from Fiona!' he thought, almost burning a hole into Charles' hand with his eyes.

Just when he was about to pull Fiona back, the door to the operating room swung open.

A doctor rushed out covered in blood. He walked up to Spencer, trembling anxiously. "I am afraid the

bullet is too close to her heart. If we try to remove it, her life will be in a great peril. Please sign here so

that we can proceed with the surgery."

"Crap! If you can't cure a patient, what good are you as a doctor?" Spencer cursed.

"I..." The doctor was too frightened to talk. At this moment, Eric arrived, followed by four doctors.

"Cheng!"

he called out. When Spencer saw them,

he was relieved.

He pointed them to the operation room. "You guys go in and replace those useless doctors inside!"

"Yes, sir!" Not far away, Fiona was trying to hide from Charles,

but she got distracted by Spencer.

Charles felt embarrassed when he noticed this. "Are you afraid of me?" he asked casually.

His words brought Fiona back to reality. She raised her head to look at Charles, uncertain if she should

nod or shake her head.

"Don't be scared of me." Pointing to a bench in the corridor, Charles said in a soft voice, "Go sit with Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

Sophia."

"Okay." She nodded and walked over to the bench. 'Phew! I escaped!'

Charles turned around and looked at Spencer scornfully.

Sophia was sitting on the bench. Her face was a little pale. "Are you all right, Fiona?"

"I'm fine." Fiona glanced at the door to the operating room with a troubled expression. "I wonder if Ryan

will be fine."

"He will! He's just hurt his arm. He'll be healed in no time. The surgery will be over soon!" Sophia

reassured her.

"You're right." Fiona nodded.

On the other side of the corridor, Spencer paced back and forth impatiently.

Watching this scene, Sophia said slowly, "I didn't expect Spencer to have such a good relationship with

his sister! He looks really anxious, as if he might swallow someone whole."

Fiona's face stiffened and her heart grew heavy. Before she could respond, Sophia continued,

"Oh! By the way, speaking of their relationship, don't Spencer's family like you?"

"What? Why do you ask?" Fiona asked curiously.

"Oh, well, you know the time we went on our class trip to Maple Mountain?" Sophia grabbed Fiona's

hand fervently. "After Leona pushed you down the mountain, I was searching for you. I tried to contact

Spencer but I couldn't get a hold of him, so I called Celine and asked her to help me reach him. She

told me she wasn't able to get in touch with him either and hung up the phone.

I was so pissed off that I called Celine again to confront her. And you know what? This time, Spencer

answered her phone! He was clearly right next to her the whole time, but she lied to me!"

Fiona was too shocked to reply.

Charles overheard them talking, and his face darkened. He clenched his jaw in anger.

Sophia continued furiously, "Can you believe it? Celine is a vile woman. It's okay if she hates you, but

how could she hide the fact that your life was at stake from Spencer? This is obviously karma. I don't

think she can be saved now!"

Feeling terrified that someone might overhear, Fiona quickly covered Sophia's mouth. "Hush! Don't talk

nonsense!"

Sophia nodded quickly and mumbled against Fiona's hand. After Sophia calmed down,

Fiona was relieved and withdrew her hand. Then, she lowered her head in deep thought. The first time

she met Celine, she had felt distressed by her provocative nature. However, she hadn't expected that

Celine would hide the fact that her life was in danger from Spencer.

Fiona's head started throbbing.

Because of Ryan and Spencer, both Leona and Celine resented her and wanted her dead. How could

she be held responsible? Was she a doormat? She wished she had never met these two men.

On the other side of the corridor, Spencer felt like his heart was being torched. He was feeling troubled,

partially because Celine had taken a bullet for him and saved his life.

However, although he was standing outside the operating room where Celine was, his thoughts

lingered on Fiona.

When he glanced over and saw Fiona with her head down, he wanted to go to her and comfort her with

a hug. She had just gone through an abortion and should be resting. The shooting was too much for

her to handle right now. But when he realized that Fiona must be worried about Ryan, his heart sank.

How could he let himself be bothered by Fiona's concern for Ryan when he should be worrying about

Celine? When the reality of this dawned on him, he was shocked.

He angrily sat on the iron bench next to him.

Eventually, the sun set and night fell. The light above the operating room that Ryan was in turned

green, indicating that his surgery was completed. Fiona and Sophia rose up in excitement and rushed

to the door to wait for Ryan to come out.

When the door finally opened, a nurse walked out and took off her mask. "The operation was

successful. He is safe now."

"Phew! That's great!

Thank God!" Sophia exclaimed.

"Thank you, nurse!" Fiona added.
