Take Me Away

Chapter 84 Kiss Her For The First Time (Part One)

Chapter 84 Kiss Her For The First Time (Part One)

Later that night, Terence hurried to the hospital. He headed to the waiting area outside of Celine's

operating room.

As he stepped inside the corridor, he wore his black leather jacket in such a way that made him look

capable and steady. Snowflakes scattered around his hair and body, making him look a bit tired. He

went straight to Spencer and in his deep voice, he asked, "She hasn't come out yet?"

Spencer shook his head silently. The coat he had been wearing was still with Fiona. So with just a

sweater on his back, he couldn't help but feel a little cold. He looked up at Terence and asked, "Is it

snowing?"

"Yes." Terence nodded. "It's getting colder and colder."

Spencer glanced behind him and noticed the snow fall. It was the first snow fall in M City.

"How long has the operation been going on?" Terence asked.

"About four or five hours," Spencer said, looking back. He had slept for a while so he wasn't really sure.

"Don't worry. She'll be fine," Terence comforted, frowning.

"Yes." Spencer nodded. If anything bad happened to Celine, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself.

After all, he'd already betrayed Celine once, he couldn't handle it if anything happened to her.

"I'm going to talk to Ethan." Terence rubbed Spencer's shoulder before getting up to talk to Ethan. He

exchanged a few words with Ethan.

"The operation's finally over!"

Anna screamed in excitement. Spencer and Terence turned their heads in unison, spotting the light

above the operating room turn green. They exchanged glances as they quickly got up and briskly

walked towards the door of the operating room.

The doctor came out of the room and they completely surrounded him at once. They asked anxiously,

"How did it go?"

"How is my Celine?"

"Is the operation over?"

The doctor took off his mask and said, "We were able to successfully remove the bullet from the

patient. We have to keep her under observation for the next 48 hours. We won't have any problems as

long as the next 48 hours go smoothly."

"What are the odds of things going wrong?" Spencer was worried about her.

"About 20%," the doctor said firmly. "The patient has a strong desire to survive. I believe she will wake

up soon."

"That's great news!" Anna cried with joy. She couldn't hold back her excitement.

Spencer breathed a sigh of relief. But he didn't know how he felt when he saw Celine being pushed out

of the operating room. Everything should be okay as long as Celine was fine.

After Celine was settled in a ward, everyone left for the night one by one.

Ethan and Anna had left, saying they'd be back the following morning.

"Are you going back?" Terence asked casually, with his hands in his pockets.

"No. I can't. Fiona's here too."

Raising his eyebrows, Terence asked, "I heard that Ryan was also injured trying to save Fiona? Is he

here too?"

Glancing sideways at Terence, Spencer felt discontented and said, "You already know the answer."

Just as Terence was about to say something, Eric suddenly arrived, holding a file in his hands. He

stood a few steps away from Spencer. He saluted.

Spencer nodded casually. "There's no one else here. There's no need for you to act."

"Ha-ha! Okay!" Hearing what Spencer had said, Eric grinned. He walked over to Terence and asked, Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

"What are you doing here? It's already so late."

"I just wanted an update on what's going on." Terence stared at the file in Eric's hands.

"I thinking you already know most of the information in this file," Spencer said as he grabbed the file

from Eric and turned to Terence. "You can tell me now. I want to know how good you are at collecting

information."

"Everyone knows how good Terence is at what he does. Everyone in M City probably gets their news

from you, right? Just show us what you can do!" Eric echoed.

"Terence, just say something about

what happened at the airport today," Spencer said.

With a faint smile, Terence pursed his lips and said slowly, "I'm not going to say things that you already

know. The security system of the airport has been hacked. It was implanted with a virus and all the

surveillance videos have been destroyed. Even the best programmers of our company haven't been

able to crack it."

Upon hearing this, Spencer frowned and asked, "When did they do this?"

"Five minutes after you left the monitoring room," Terence responded.

Spencer snorted. "Wow, they're so cunning!"

"Spencer, you've worked very hard, yet barely found any clues about them. Of course, they're going to

be cunning!"

"You don't have to fluff me up. Get to the point," Spencer said.

"The point is the death of their member, Fat Widow." Terence raised his eyebrows.

'Fat Widow?' Spencer realized who Terence was referring to. Frowning, he said, "Is that the woman

who had a baby with her at the airport? How did she die?"

"She was shot between the eyebrows. The action was conducted by a pistol with a silencer. She was

killed in an instant. Moreover, we found another wound on her body. It was a precise shot two

centimeters away from her heart. Whoever did this is very powerful! Did you do that?"

After skimming through the file, Spencer spat, "You're such a cunning fox, Terence. Did you peep at the

file?"

As soon as he heard what Spencer said, Terence put up his hands in a gesture of surrender. "Spencer,

don't joke with me like that."

"Leniency to those who confess, severity to those who resist!" Spencer cast a pitiful glance at Terence.

"As long as you don't say anything that's from this document, I'll believe you."

"Yup, I agree," Eric agreed, nodding his head.

"Okay, then let's talk about X! I don't know much about it but I do know that their headquarters isn't in

the country. It's a huge forest, as far as I know. People found it hard to penetrate the forest because it

was a dangerous terrain. Later on, I heard that it had been occupied by several people. Now it seems

that it belongs to X," Terence explained seriously.

Spencer nodded and said, "They're out of the country, which means this is going to be harder to deal

with."

With a nod, Terence continued, "They mostly smuggle drugs along with other illegal activities. Most

importantly, it has a group of top experts who specialize in developing medicine. As far as what they're

trying to develop, I have no idea what it is."

Upon hearing this, Spencer furrowed his eyebrows together. "Recently, they've been quite active. It

seems that they're planning something. What medicine are they going to sell? Have you found any

traces? Can it be found on the market now? Or is it a new medicine they're developing?"
