The Ceo’s Convict Wife

Chapter 1384

Because she was afraid of being hurt again, she didn’t want to be in a relationship again.

However, she met Calvin unexpectedly, giving her the courage to love again.

Perhaps she would be happy with him.

Shelly’s eyes widened in disbelief the next day when she learned that her friend Hanna and Calvin had decided to begin a serious relationship.

“So Calvin and you are in a serious relationship now?” Shelly asked in surprise.

“Yes.” Hanna nodded.

“What’s going on? Did Calvin fall in love with you?” Shelly asked.

“No.” Hanna shook her head quickly. “To be exact, he wanted to move on by starting a new relationship with me!

Hearing this, Shelly couldn’t help but frown. “Why does it sound so weird?”

Hanna smiled dryly. “It’s a little weird. But he also promised to try his best to fall in love with me.”

“But love is two-sided. Sometimes, it doesn’t work,” Shelly said, a little worried. She was afraid Hanna would get hurt again.

“I know, but have to at least try,” Hanna said. “Shelly, don’t you always want me to move on and love again? Now I want to give myself a second chance to love again.”

“You… “Shelly sighed. She knew that Hanna sometimes looked a littl dumb and seemed to have no independent opinion, but she was -incredibly resolute once she made a decision. “Hopefully, I’m looking forward to hearing the good news from you.”

What she only could do now was to bless her!

“Thank you! “Hanna smiled, but then she frowned again. “How can I make Calvin fall in love with me?”

“Show your charm to him,” Shelly replied.

Hanna blinked, confused. “But Calvin works in the entertainment industry and he must have already seen many charming women!”

Shelly thought Hanna was right, so she added, “Why don’t you do some things a couple usually do when dating? It will help you to grow your bond.”

“Some things a couple usually do when dating?” Hanna repeated, confused.

“For example, watch a movie, eat a meal, go shopping, travel, or spend time at home on weekends. Didn’t you draw so many romantic comics? There’s a lot on them,” Shelly added.

Hanna felt embarrassed. The content of romantic comics and reality were totally two different things. It was not easy to practice its romantic idea in reality.

No matter what, she should try her best to grow their bond at present.

When Calvin came to visit Rosalie in the hospital this time, she was awake and lying on the bed. Jonathan was sitting on the bed, peeling an apple for her. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“How are you feeling now? Are you okay?” Calvin asked.

“I’m fine now. I’m afraid I must be on complete bed rest before labor starts,” Rosalie replied. “I heard from Jonathan that you came to see me yesterday.”

“Yes, I hurried over when I heard from Hanna that you were in the hospital,” Calvin replied.

“I would be in grave danger if Hanna hadn’t stood in front of me to protect me yesterday. I haven’t had the chance to thank her yet,” Rosalie said.

“I’ll thank her for you,” Calvin replied.

At that moment, Jonathan had already cut the apple into small slice offered one to Rosalie’s lips.

Rosalie opened her mouth and ate it. Obviously, there was a tacit understanding between them.

Calvin watched the scene quietly. Rosalie was living a happy life now.

In the past, he hoped that he could give her happiness. But later he discovered that he was not the man in her heart who could give her happiness.

“I’ve to go now. I’ll visit you with Hanna next time,” Calvin said, getting

“Okay. See you,” Rosalie said.

Just as Calvin was about to reach the door of the ward, Rosalie suddenly asked, “Calvin, did Hanna get you wrong when you hurried to the hospital yesterday?”

Calvin smiled gently. “She knew I used to like you, but she’s aware that I love her now!”

“That’s good.” Rosalie felt relieved. “Hanna is a wonderful woman.”

“I know,” Calvin replied, walking out of the ward.

Rosalie looked at the ward door that was opened and closed again.

“Are you okay?” Jonathan asked, putting another small cube of apple to her mouth.

“Nothing. I genuinely hope Calvin will be happy,” Rosalie murmured.

“As you wish. Trust me,” Jonathan said in a comforting voice.

Rosalie looked at her husband with a smile. “Are you so sure?”

Jonathan’s eyes blazed. “Yes, I’m.”

Even if not, he would try his best to make her wish come true.

Calvin walked out of the hospital, took out his phone, and dialed Hanna. “Where are you now?”

“It’s in the studio,” she replied.

“Are you busy working?” Calvin asked.

“Yes,” Hanna replied.

“Will it affect your work if I come over?” Calvin asked. He suddenly wanted to see her and listen to her voice.

“Of course not. Only my two assistants and I are in the studio. You may be a little bored,” Hanna said.

“It doesn’t matter,” Calvin replied, driving to Hanna’s studio.

There were Hanna and two assistants in the studio.

The two assistants had met Calvin before, so they looked at him curiously.

Hanna made Calvin a cup of coffee. “Please sit down and wait for a moment. I still have some work to do.”

“I see. Go ahead,” Calvin said.

Hanna went back to her desk and continued drawing comics with her two assistants.

Calvin sat on the sofa, holding a cup of coffee and glancing at Hanna not far away.

She was now completely focused on her work. She appeared to be as attentive as when she was drawing him as a model.

Her two assistants glanced at him from time to time, but Hanna never did. She paid full attention to her work. Anyone could tell how serious she was about her comics.

Calvin smiled, thinking that people rarely concentrate as intensely as Hanna.

She was so focused because she liked her work.

Could he really fall in love with her?

Could he possibly love someone else other than Rosalie? What if he couldn’t fall in love with Hanna even if he didn’t despise Hanna and sometimes even appreciated her?
