The Ceo’s Convict Wife

Chapter 1385

After so many years, Hanna was the only woman he was closest to.

Calvin looked at Hanna, lost in thought. When Hanna finished her work and raised her head, she happened to meet Calvin’s eyes.

Suddenly, her face blushed.

Her two assistants snickered. “Hanna, you and your boyfriend are really loved-up. He had been watching you all the time while you were drawing.”

“Yeah. He must like you very much,” another of her assistants echoed. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

Hanna smiled shyly. “Well, let’s call it a day today. You can color them tomorrow.”

“Got it. We don’t want to be the third wheel to you and Mr. Gunner.” Her two assistants quickly stood up with a smile and packed their things. They left after saying goodbye to Calvin.

Hanna walked to Calvin and said, “Sorry for keeping you waiting for a long time! I hope you don’t mind what my assistants said.”

Calvin raised his eyebrows. “I don’t mind it at all. As your boyfriend, I should like you very much.”

Hanna pressed her lips. He said ‘should’.

She knew he tried to justify himself to be her boyfriend.

However, she made a choice and had nothing to complain about. Perhaps, she should feel lucky to be his girlfriend.

Although Calvin didn’t love her, he was trying hard to make him fall in love with her.

“Are you hungry? Would you like to have dinner together?” Calvin asked looking at the time.

“I’d love to,” Hanna answered, organizing her desk. She then left the studio with Calvin.

After getting in the car, Calvin asked, “What would you like to eat?”

“Any food. Is there à restaurant where you frequently eat?” Hanna asked. Since they were in a real relationship, she wanted to know more about him and his preferences including the restaurants and food he liked.

“Okay, I see.” Calvin started the car and slowly drove towards the west of the city.

The car stopped in front of a restaurant with a lot of green plants.

This area belonged to Strico’s scenic spot. Because of its remote location, there were not too many people in the restaurant. It was quiet up here.

After they got out of the car, Hanna followed Calvin to the entrance. A waiter quickly came forward and greeted them. “Mr. Gunner, welcome to your restaurant again! Would you like to sit at your old table?”

“Yes, please,” Calvin replied.

The waiter led the way. Hanna discovered that there was more to the restaurant as she walked. There were some antique buildings inside, such as pavilions, bridges, and fountains.

Just as they walked to the corner of the corridor, someone came over. At

the sight of Calvin, he greeted him enthusiastically, “Calvin, it’s a pleasure to see you again!”

“Nice to see you again,” Calvin responded with a smile.

“This is…” the man asked, glancing at Hanna.

“This is my girlfriend, Hanna Zimmerman,” Calvin replied. The man’s eyes flashed with surprise but quickly vanished. He greeted Hanna with a smile.

“What a small world! Would you like to join me for dinner?” he asked.

Calvin looked at Hanna. Obviously, he was asking for her opinion.

Hanna hesitated. She could tell Calvin was very familiar with the She couldn’t bring herself to turn him down, so she nodded.

“Yes, I’d love to,” Calvin said.

The man smiled and became more enthusiastic to Hanna.

Calvin asked his girlfriend for advice. It could tell Hanna held an important place in his heart.

During the dinner, Hanna learned that the man they had previously met was an official. The people they were having dinner with were the heads of various bureaus.

She used to see these people in the city’s political and economic news.

Like the people she met at the banquet before, the people she met this time were those she couldn’t possibly have the chance to meet at ordinary times.

“Ms. Zimmerman, what do you do?” someone asked.

“Oh, I’m a comic illustrator,” Hanna replied.

“Sounds interesting. A Comics Festival will be held in the city soon. Please feel free to let me know if you’re interested,” a man who worked in the Bureau of Culture said.

“The magazine that I work for has already signed up for me and applied for a stall,” Hanna replied. She attended all of the city’s comics festivals over the years.

“That’s good. I’ll root for you,” the man said.

Hanna smiled and didn’t take it seriously. She thought his words were courtesy.

Over dinner, Calvin took the initiative to assist her in picking up some food that she couldn’t get and peeling shrimp for her.

Hanna blushed. “I can do it myself.”

“No worries. Let me do it for you,” he said.

Hanna watched Calvin peel shrimps with his slender fingers. He looked indescribably elegant. She thought Calvin would be a perfect boyfriend if he was willing.

The people at the table all smiled meaningfully.

After the meal, Hanna was scarlet in the face.

When they were about to leave the restaurant, Calvin took a box fr the waiter.

“What is this?” Hanna asked curiously.

“It’s the dessert you just ate just now. You seem to like the desert very much, so I ordered a takeaway for you. I also put the restaurant’s business card inside the box. You can make a call whenever you want and the bill is on me,” Calvin answered.

Hanna was stunned. She didn’t expect Calvin to pay attention to such a small detail. He even noticed that she liked the dessert.

“Thank you,” she said.

“Never mind. As your boyfriend, I should buy whatever you like for you,” Calvin said, looking at the time. “Where else do you want to go?”

“Is this a date?” she asked, blinking.

“Of course,” Calvin replied.

After thinking for a while, Hanna said, “Shall we go to the night market? Let’s take a stroll after dinner and it will aid in digestion.”

She hoped that she could walk into his life and he could also walk into her life.

Calvin gazed at Hanna in front of him and nodded his head. “Okay, let’s go to the night market.”

They got in the car, heading towards the night market.

Hanna chose a pedestrian street in Strico. At night, it was full of vendors.
