Chapter 58: Contract gift
Alex.
I cut the call and stare blankly outside over the transparent glass brimming with disappointment.
I know this won’t be easy as Fanuel was hard but to crack, he should take it slow and give it a little time first.
When Mirabel had told him that she has something strong to mek Fanuel leave his wife or have a rethink about letting her stay, I badly wanted to know what that could be, but Mirabel was stubborn.
It was as if she swore not to say a thing until after she told Fanuel, making me more curious at how confident she was only to discover how stupid she was at her assumptions.
I couldn’t believe that she thinks that Fanuel gives a fuck about Christine or whatever trash she went through. Whether she was raped or not, she was just a commodity to save his company.
He’s just being possessive because he knows that using Christine would be a gateway for saving his business.
He’s just so lucky that the bitch is damn beautiful.
He thought he could also convince Christine about Fanuel so he could use that as a bait and get what he wants by using her but she was being strong headed.
One of his men came over and bowed.
“Is he the one?” I asked to be sure.
“Yes boss, but it seems he came alone.”
I said and dismissed him smirking.
Damn you Fanuel!!
I can’t believe he invited his friend over on his honeymoon!!
Are they planning to have a threesome with that poor girl? I bet he would do that without batting an eyelid.
It’s game over for Mirabel, I should step up my game and watch him crumble.
I retrieved my phone from my pants and dialed a number which went through at the first ring.
“Hi Celine, it’s Alex”
“Hi Alex” She squeaked and I rolled my eyes.
“Did you get it?”
“I did but you know I can’t give it out.”
“You have to Celine, I will triple your pay.. I know you’re scared about the consequences but I’m assuring you that you’re going to leave that place to a higher position as soon as what I’m planning to do with that is done.”
“Alex…” she whined.
“This is the first contract gift my boss gave to me from Atlanta…I’m not willing to ri…”
“Celine!! Fuck! Where are you right now?”
Her voice wavered for a moment.
“In the office.”
“I’m coming over.”
“What? No way!! You can’t come, Jayden or Fanuel might show up anytime and you’re not even in New Jersey.”
“Then meet me in New Rocks hotel, I’ll be there in soon…. come with the documents I’ll explain everything to you”
I hang up the call and huff out, exhaling in the process.
This was the first time Celine would act stubborn about doing things for me.
I was able to sneak in to seduce her even before I left New Jersey for Chicago. She was blinded by my looks and I took advantage of it and got every damn information I needed about Hudson chemical technologies.
Fanuel’s Dad disliked me and I hated his guts so I had to devoid means of doing anything to cause his downfall but it was useless. That man was extremely intelligent and strict, too bad he’s kissing his sick bed right now.
I’m going to use that document linked with another contract to make sure Fanuel doesn’t get a dime from any company.
It was just a matter of time.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Christine poured the wine in the tumbler for Edward as he was in a deep conversation with Fanuel.
She came to realize that he was in a tight situation that morning and he was pissed because his company was at stake.
From what shen heard from Edward she wondered how he was able to scale through hearing how the judge wasn’t in their favor.
“I kidnapped his family and tortured them.”
My fingers shook and I spilled the wine on the white Persian rug messing it up while she stared at him in shock.
“You’re not only clingy but also clumsy.” Fanuel said not breaking eye contact with his friend, making Edward turn to Christine and see the mess she made.
He sighed and shook his head.
“It’s okay Christine, thanks for the wine. I’m sure it was a mistake.” He smirked at her and she smiled back.
Fanuel watched them both and scoffed.
She smiles sweetly at others and stares at him like an incarnate of hell.
“Alex came to the house while you were here.” Edward said and Fanuel lifted his brows and stared at him without saying a word while Edward continued.
“I wonder why he was there as …”
“Alex is here…on the island.” Fanuel told him and his eyes widened in surprise.
“What the actual heck, tell me you’re kidding.”
Fanuel ignores and takes his wine to drink, as the realization of why Alex was here dawned on him. That dude just wanted to cause havoc to piss him off but he won’t allow that especially with Christine.
“I think he followed you here to do something mischievous, so do you know the room he stays in?”
“I think you’re high for asking me that, how is his room my fucking business?”
“Chill dude, I just want to beat him to pulp secretly, especially for locking you up in that basement for you to die!”
Christine gave a sharp gasp as the gist turned at once to look at her but she quickly tossed it off by acting weird and looking at her cell phone.
“Jayden also told me that Laurel says she saw the person who stood at the last floor before the chandelier broke.” Edward continued and that piqued Christine’s interest.
She badly wanted to ask who but she knew that Fanuel would stop their conversation if she was eavesdropping.
“And who the fuck was that?”
“Jayden didn’t say, I don’t know if Laurel later told him but I’m sure that person up there should know about that chandelier.
“I will be coming back home tomorrow.” Fanuel blurted out and Christine scoffed loudly.
“Why? It’s just three days since you arrived here.”
“It doesn’t matter, I need to get back to work as soon as possible and work on those new contracts, I haven’t even signed them yet.”
“It’s okay…I get it…all these is a sham after all”
“Good, now get out!”
Edward scoffed and slapped his shoulder.
“Your temper is something else ever since you got married, at least don’t let it out on Christine.. she’s still fragile.” He said and turned to bade her but she already fell asleep.
He picked up his phone on the coffee table and left while Fanuel sighed and closed his eyes.
He couldn’t bear him smiling all the time Christine.
