Mason was discharged from the hospital due to his rapid recovery and stable condition. He refused to use a wheelchair on the day of discharge and hobbled onto the car with a cane, gritting his teeth with each step.

Arthur stroked his beard and nodded approvingly. “You have strong determination. Keep exercising like this at home. I will send the next two months‘ worth of medicine with the prescription. Just follow the instructions to prepare the medicine and take them as instructed.”

Audrey couldn’t resist asking another question. “Dr. Carroll, what about after those two months?”

Arthur said, “What about it?”

“How about the medicine after those two months?”

“He will be fully recovered. Why would he need more medicine?”

Audrey was both shocked and delighted. Arthur was truly a miraculous doctor!

“Sebastian, I’ll return to Jandersville since everything is settled here. Feel free to contact me if you need my help.” Arthur patted him on the shoulder and glanced briefly at the chubby young lady standing nearby with a grateful expression.

Her complexion was rosy, and she seemed to have a strong vitality. It was a sign of prosperity for her home and family.

Sebastian had made an excellent choice.

“Alright, I’ll hold you to that.”

After Arthur left, Sebastian and Madison boarded a flight to Jandersville that same afternoon. Audrey personally brought them to the airport before their departure. She said, “Sebastian, you’re a mature and reliable young man while Madison is impulsive and careless. Please be patient with her. You have been a tremendous help to our family, both at home and in the hospital! Without you, everything would have been a mess!

“I should’ve been a better host and given you a proper tour for a few more days, but I really can’t manage with Madison’s father in this condition. I’m sorry for neglecting you.”

“Mrs. Hill, there’s no need to be so formal. I’m not a guest. I’ll be visiting often in the future, so there will be plenty of opportunities.” As he spoke, he glanced at Madison. “Don’t worry, and please tell Mr. Hill not to worry as well. I will treat Madison well.”

Audrey let out a sigh of relief. “Alright, it’s getting late. You two should head through security now.”

Madison was sitting in the window seat. She had a chubby face and fair skin. The slight curve of her lips made her dimples faintly visible. The setting sun streamed in through the window and illuminated her profile with a golden hue, casting a shadow from her long eyelashes on her cheeks.

She seemed so easily satisfied and so effortlessly happy.

Sebastian replied inexplicably, “Orange juice.”

“What is it?” Madison took it with a smile. The first thing that caught her eye was a bold title in large black font, “The Benefits of Being Sebastian’s Girlfriend.”

“Firstly, I promise to cook whatever you wish to eat. If I don’t know how, I’ll learn how to make it. There’s nothing that I can’t cook apart from the foods you haven’t thought of yet.

“Second, I am always available and will always respond to your calls.

“Third, I promise to accompany you on all your food adventures and travel

everywhere with you.

“Fourth, I will carry your bags and buy you lattes during our shopping trips. I will prepare gifts for special dates and cakes for your birthday.”
