Chapter 102
Maia wanted to get this done. She Chapter 102 Use It as a Pillow
When they arrived at Prismara Hill, Maia did not even bother getting out of the cab. She simply handed the bag of items to security and asked them to give it to Cedric.
Before the security guard got a clear look at her, he spoke crudely, “Just take it home. Do you know how many women have tried to send gifts to Mr. Cedric? Yours would only end up in the
trash.”
When the security guard got close enough to the taxi, he was surprised to see Maia inside. He immediately greeted her politely. “Ms. Maia, how can | help you?”
“Pass these to Cedric.”
“Got it. Ms. Maia, would you like to come in as well? Mr. Cedric had told us to welcome you whenever you’re back.” “There’s no need for that. I've seen enough of this place.”
Maia closed her window. Then she told the driver to leave the place.
The driver was momentarily stunned as he finally realized who his passenger was. He managed to recover from his petrified state the second time Maia addressed him.
“Sure thing, right on it,” the driver replied and drove off.

Maia looked at the scenery outside. Even though it was still summer, Prismara Hill had a way of making her shiver. It was a place where she had never experienced any form of warmth.
The taxi driver’s demeanor changed as he started to chatter happily. “I can’t believe that you’re Ms. Maia! My daughter idolizes you! She said that she wants to be like you someday! An outstanding person and the CEO of a corporation!”
He added, “I told her that it’s just some far-fetched dream, haha.” “Not at all. | believe she'll be able to achieve her dream.” Maia believed that if you had faith in your dream, it could come true.
“Right, | should trust in her too—she’s my precious baby girl! If | don’t even trust her, who would?” The driver laughed as he agreed with Maia.
Maia was envious of their relationship. She wished she had a father like this too. This was something that she would never be able to experience.
Back at Prismara Hill, ‘the security guard wasted no time in delivering the items from Maia to Cedric.
“Mr. Cedric, someone instructed us to give these to you.” Cedric frowned and demanded, “Dispose of them.”
Baz quickly took the items and warned the security guard, “Have you forgotten our rules? Mr. Cedric wouldn’t accept gifts from strangers!”
He tossed the bag into a trash can nearby.
When the guard saw what Baz was doing, he swallowed hard and said, “But they're from Ms. Maia.”
“What? Why didn’t you say so earlier?”
Cedric eyed Baz with a murderous intention. Baz felt a shiver down his spine. He smiled sheepishly in return and instantly retrieved the bag from the trash can.
“Mr. Cedric, we only use this for papers, so it's quite clean. Ms. Maia’s items are safe. | threw them quite gently, too. I’m sure nothing broke,” Baz explained, choosing his words carefully.
