Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 153

Chapter 153 Making Up for Your Mistake Baz said pitifully. “I paid the price for saying the truth...”

Then, Oswald said to an angry Cedric, “Baz has something to tell you, Mr. Cedric. I'll start preparing dinner now.” He took off immediately after that.

Baz rubbed his head and said, “Starlight Entertainment has successfully acquired Nebula Entertainment, Mr. Cedric. Sunny Videos has signed a contract with them.”

“Noted.”

o celebrate the occasion, | had Sunny Videos sponsor and organize a party. It’s a team- building event for both companies’ core personnel.”

Cedric raised his brow and turned to glance at Baz, who gave him a wide grin, “You can see Ms. Maia again, Mr. Cedric! | think you'll agree when | say | did a good job!” He gave himself a thumbs up.

Cedric sneered. “You made up for your mistake.”

Baz had absolutely nothing to say. He very much wanted to kick himself. This was what he got for speaking out of place! Otherwise, he could have gotten a pretty handsome bonus at the end of the year!

He nodded and went away to make preparations. Starlight Entertainment had no reason. whatsoever to turn down this invitation!

After all, Sunny Videos has a lot of user traffic. Signing a contract with them meant that any television drama or variety show Starlight Entertainment produced would have extensive exposure and promotion, increasing their viewer base in a single swoop.

The party and team-building event represented two chances for Cedric and Maia to meet each other. They might even be able to hang out for a good while. “I'm such a genius!”All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

Baz walked out of the study. His footsteps were light and his face was lit with a smile. Despite that, the red mark on his forehead from Cedric’s phone still stood out.

Maia was woken up by her ringing phone. She picked up her phone, looked at the screen, answered it drowsily. “Hello?” She was still sleepy.

“Were you sleeping, Maia?” It was Hope.

and

“l was.”

“Buck asked me to pick you up so we could have dinner at his place. | just wrapped up an event. I’m about to reach Cloud Nine Residences. Why don’t you freshen up and come down?” Hope said cheerfully.

“Sure.” Maia answered. She looked out the window sluggishly. It was already dark out there.

She checked the time and found that it was already seven o'clock. Did she actually sleep for seven hours straight? Maia hung up and freshened up. Then, she went upstairs.

She saw a seven-seater when she got out of her apartment. Hope was waving at her.

“Hop on, Maia!” Hope made room for her. Maia walked toward her. Hope gave her a hug when she went in the car.

“| knew you bought over Nebula Entertainment, Maia.”

It was such a big thing. Hope learned about it when she was attending the event. She was. thinking about it the entire time.

Then, Hope looked at Mala and asked, “Did you buy over Nebula Entertainment because of my contract? If that’s the case, it wasn’t worth it. | deserved to be tied down by them because | was naive back then. | can’t let you do this for me.”

Maia looked at Hope, who was feeling uneasy. She knew Hope was a sensitive person. Maia did not want to put too much on her shoulders.

“| acquired Nebula Entertainment so | could sign a contract with Sunny Videos.”

Not only was Hope not disappointed, but she was relieved to hear it. “Really? Did you really do it for Sunny Videos? Was it not because of my unfavorable contract?”

“Yes,” Maia answered firmly. “I can’t deny that you're a valuable addition to our ranks, but you’re more of a bonus. My main focus was on Sunny Videos.”

Hope let out a sigh of relief. “Don’t worry, Maia. I'll work hard. That’s a promise!” “I'll have someone modify your contract. It'll be a standardized contract that Starlight. Entertainment signs with every artist.”

Hope nodded, “Okay. I’m more than happy to work for you! I’ll ask Wesley to arrange a full schedule for me tomorrow. Then, I'll have a look at the scripts!”

Hope was a diligent artist. Now that she was working for her own family, she was even more fired up.

“Your health is more important. Take good care of yourself. My company has other artists.” “Roger, Maia.” Hope nodded immediately, then she gave Maia a sweet smile. +15 BONUS

Mala stared at her. She did not forget about Aunt Tess and Errol’s advice, but she simply could. not belleve Hope was a scheming, rotten soul...

Soon, they arrived at Buck’s place. It was a simple apartment with a bedroom and a living room. Buck had spent a big portion of his savings to purchase it. The delicious smell of food came right at them as they went inside.

“What did you make, Buck?” Hope took off her cap and dashed to the kitchen. “Do you need my help?”

“That’s okay. You should just sit in the living room with Ms. Maia. Are you thirsty? Do you want to have something to drink? There’s soda and fruit juice in the fridge.”

Buck smiled broadly when he saw Hope. He was a big man, but he smiled like a shy boy. Maia couldn’t help but smile too when she saw it.

Maia went to the living room to give both of them some space. Buck worked fast and served all the food on the dining table. Hope set down a plate of fruit as well.

“You're wonderful at this, Buck. The steak with mashed potatoes looks so yummy!” Hope was very supportive of him. She served herself some steak and started digging in.

“Your boss is right here. Is it okay for you to forget about your weight management and eat meat?” Maia ate a sandwich and looked at Hope, smiling.

Hope was chomping on some chicken when she heard that and stopped abruptly. Then, she swallowed her food awkwardly.

“| guess you're right. You’re my boss now...” Hope obediently put down the utensils and looked at Maia. “Am | a good girl, Maia?*,
