Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 166

Chapter 166 | Love It When You Feed Me His ungrateful wife was in denial again. Cedric glanced at her sorrowfully. Then, he said, “It’s hard being me.” Maia was startled. Did he just say that? Did he not have a single shred of modesty within him?

They had been on the road for about twenty minutes. Maia looked out the window. She had been sure that they were headed to Prismara Hill, but they were going to Cloud Nine Residences instead!

“This isn’t the way to my place, Cedric.”

“| know.”

“I'm sure you're aware that we’re supposed to be en route to Prismara Hill. | want to go home!” She had no wish to step foot into that place again!

Cedric looked at her sternly. “We have to live together so Tess wouldn’t be suspicious of anything.”

Maia was puzzled. What he said made sense, but why did she get the feeling that Cedric was taking advantage of her? She was no fool. She knew he would do anything to get his way.

“We can live together, but there have to be rules.” Maia took out her tablet and wrote them down. Once she had written down ten, she let him see them.

“Take a good look at them, Cedric. If you agree to them, I'll print them out. Then, all you have to do is sign off on it.”

It had only taken her a few minutes to write the rules, which impressed Cedric. It was the first time he had felt that way since she had taken over as Starlight Entertainment's CEO.

Most of the rules were about setting boundaries during the time they would be living together. He could tolerate all but one of the rules.

“In no way, shape, or form could we sleep on each other’s bed.” He was not too happy about that.

He chuckled. It seemed that what happened in Stonebrook haunted her still.

“What if | don’t agree to this?”

“I'll return to my place at once.” She was adamant and refused to budge.

He smiled wickedly. “Don’t you want to bring Tess to justice?”

“If | have to do it by serving myself to you on a silver platter, then it isn’t worth it. | can find. evidence against her on my own. It’s just a matter of time.”NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

Knowing that Tess was a suspect gave Maia a reason to find something to use against her. Maia trusted in her own instincts and abilities. She could do this without Cedric, but would he let her?

Tess could put her in harm’s way again if she acted by herself. He could not leave her alone. He was going to save her every single time. Still, no one could guarantee that it would go smoothly every time.

Cedric loved her. He would happily give his life if it meant saving her, and a cohabitation agreement was right up his alley.

“You can print a copy of this in the study. You should be familiar with the printer there,” Cedric said, returning the tablet.

Maia trembled a little, but she remained quiet. She had no intention of talking about their past.

She got out of the car as soon as they arrived at Prismara Hill. Oswald and the other servants bowed the moment they saw her. “Greetings, Ms. Maia!”

They formed a line up to the door. Maia felt a little awkward. She really did not know what to do. She did not react until Cedric held her in his arms and led her to the manor.

“What was that about, Cedric?” Maia asked, to which he answered, “Baz arranged that.” “Baz? Did you ask him to return to Prismara Hill in advance?”

“That’s right.”

Baz, who had followed them in, heard it all. He looked dejected, but was used to taking the fall for Cedric.

“Try the tomato soup, Ms. Maia. It’s freshly made,” Oswald said, offering the couple some food.

“Thank you.” Maia nodded at him and took the soup. She had barely taken two sips when Cedric closed a document he was reading, sat next to her, and said, “Honey.”

Maia was startled. She still wasn’t used to him calling her that. “W-What's the matter?”

“Did you save some for me?” He deliberately teased her when Oswald was around. Maia pursed her lips and smiled sweetly, “Why, of course!”

She stuffed his mouth full of soup and asked, “Do you like it?”

Let's see if he would choke on it!

He did not say a word. Instead, he held her face and kissed her in front of Oswald. He forced a huge amount of soup back into her mouth.

“You fed it to me. How can | not like it?”

Maia blinked. An idea sprang into her mind. She looked at Oswald, who was smiling, and said, Is there more?” Oswald nodded quickly, “Of course. You can have as much as you want!”

“How much is left? Is the pot full?” Mala asked.

“There's about half left.”

“Give me all of it. Bring me a big ladle too. The bigger, the better.”

Oswald did not really know what to say. “Do you really want all of it?”

“That’s right. My husband loves it when | feed him. He wouldn't be satisfied with just a small bowl of soup. | need all of it!” Oswald was stunned. Was this how young people show their affection? He had never seen anything like it. “S—Sure.” Oswald nodded and headed to the kitchen.

Mala looked at Cedric and smiled sweetly.

“You love it when | fed you, honey. There’s half a pot left. | can take my sweet time and give you what you want.”

Since he loved it so much, she would let him have his fill!
