Chapter 381
Chapter 381
When Arya got up in the morning, it was very bright outside.
Ramona lay on the bed with her eyes open and did not cry. After Arya dressed up, she hugged the girl
up.
In the living room, Bridget's face even darkened.
Arya walked out and saw Bridget holding a red letter of invitation. Arya walked over and handed
Ramona to Daisy and then took the letter from Bridget and opened it. It was a wedding invitation.
It was the wedding of Edward and a beautiful foreigner with yellow hair, white skin.
Arya frowned. "Was it sent by Edward?"
Bridget pursed her lips. "Of course. What did he mean by doing this?"
Arya sat down on the sofa. "Edward would not do this. There might be some misunderstanding."
"How come?" Bridget snatched the invitation from Arya and opened it for Arya. "Isn't it obvious?"
Daisy hugged Ramona and looked at Bridget. "Now that you don't like him anymore, why are you angry
about his marriage? Isn't it normal for him to send the invitation to you due to his close relationship with
your brother?"
Bridget lifted her neck and thought for a while. "But the person whom he's on good terms with is now
missing. What about him? Get married?"
Daisy's face became even darkened. When she mentioned Xavier, she felt so suffocated that she
couldn't breathe. Arya clenched her hands quietly.
"He's abroad. He doesn't know the situation at home. You can't blame him." Daisy said. "You don't have
to go to his wedding if you do not want to. I'll tell him that we won't go."
Bridget was still unhappy. "I have to send my wishes as he's been pursuing me for so long."
Arya glanced at her and sighed slightly, then she stood up from the sofa and looked at Daisy. "I just fed
her and changed the diaper. I'm going out now."
Daisy held her back. "I don't know the affairs in the company. But no matter how busy you are, you
have to eat before leaving."
Arya agreed because she didn't want Daisy to worry her.
After dinner, Mr. Jones took Ryan to kindergarten while Arya went out alone. When she got in the car,
she found that the driver had changed.
"Deputy..."
He was Cullen's Deputy.
"The old chief told me before he died. If he's no longer with you, I will play his role."
Deputy had followed Cullen for so long, so he should be very good at dealing with all these accidents,
but...
"As you're here, what about the Porter Family?"
"Don't worry. I've already arranged for some people to stay at the Porter's. There aren't many servants
in the Porter Family, but those who stayed are absolutely loyal. Don't worry."
Arya nodded. "Drive to the company."
Deputy drove the car towards the company.
When she arrived at the company, Arya called Jacob and asked him to go to her office.
She wrote the two words that she had been confused about on the paper for him to have a look at.
Jacob looked with great confusion. "What does that mean?"
What the hell are the horizontal lines?
Arya propped her chin up. "I've been studying it for a long time and I don't know what it is."
Jacob looked at the paper and couldn't understand it. "Where did you get it?"
Arya raised her eyes. "From one of my acquaintances."
Arya looked out of the window and thought of Bella and those things in prison.
Bella came in when Arya stayed in prison for the second year. Those jailed people liked to bully Arya,
but Bella was very good at fighting. She protected her. After a long time, Bella and Arya became
friends.
When she was in prison, Bella was very mysterious and only close to her, but she never said anything
about herself or why she was imprisoned.
Arya was surprised to see her and wanted to figure out why she was sent into prison. She also wanted
to know who she was now, and why someone controlled her freedom.
Jacob couldn't figure it out. "Is that the only word?"
Arya looked at Jacob for a few seconds and took out the USB on the table. "And also this."
Jacob picked it up and looked at it for two seconds. "Plug it in."
Arya shook her head. If Bella didn't want anyone to know, it wouldn't be that suitable for others to see it.
"If she gives it to you, she won't be afraid of it being seen." Jacob was so curious.
Arya shook her head. "No, she didn't know she would meet me. If someone else was sitting there, she
would also hand it over."
Jacob was confused and muttered, "Could it be a name or a password?"
But it doesn't seem to be a password.
Arya put the things in the drawer. She thought that if this was something important, Bella would
definitely come to her.
Arya locked the drawer and looked at Jacob. "What about the things I asked you to do?"
Jacob still wanted to persuade Arya. "I think I should do this. You do not have to do it yourself."
Arya stared at him. "Are you closer to Xavier, or am I?"
Jacob said without thinking, "Of course it's you."
She was the woman Xavier most cared about. How could he compare with her?
"So, I have to be the one who takes revenge." Arya's voice was very soft but extremely determined.
Jacob lowered his head and whispered in Arya's ear...
"Deputy and I will be with you." Jacob was helpless. Arya was just like Xavier as no one could change
their minds. He couldn't let Arya change her mind, so he could only try his best to protect her.
Arya knew what Jacob was worried about, but she had to do some things herself.
Suddenly, she became extremely upset. She lowered her head and rubbed her forehead. "You go out
now." NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
Jacob left the office.
Arya kept herself busy on purpose. A few days ago, she buried herself at work every day so that she
didn't have time to think about it. But today she could not read anything. Someone appeared in her
mind and could not be cleared out. It was like poison was eroding her heart and lungs.
She was depressed and irritable.
Suddenly, things on the table fell and scattered on the ground.
The secretary heard the noise and walked in. She carefully picked up the things on the ground after
seeing the mess.
Arya didn't know what happened to her. She couldn't control herself. She wanted to release her
emotions but couldn't find an outlet. She gasped. "Thank you."
The secretary shook her head. "It's okay."
She understood how stressful Arya was.
She couldn't show her depression in front of Daisy and the others at home. In the company, countless
people were staring at her all the time, so she was stressed out.
