Chapter 444
Chapter 444
Xavier held her in arms and circled her waist. "How about we take Jacob and Bridget with us?"
Xavier really wanted to take Arya out for a holiday, and on the other hand, he wished the relationship
between Jacob and Bridget could be further developed.
Arya pursed her lips.
"Mom will look after Ryan and Ramona. Besides, we're gonna come back soon. So rest assured."
Xavier rubbed her hand.
Arya hesitated for a moment and agreed.
She stood up and said, "Tell them when they come over tonight. But I have to go to the supermarket
first. There's no food at home."
"Okay." Xavier leaned back. "Be quick."
"Fine." Arya looked back at Xavier as if something occurred to her. "You are not going with me?"
"No." Xavier didn't even look up and gently pinched Ramona's face with his fingers.
It was more important to be with his daughter.
If Arya knew his thoughts, she would definitely be vexed!
It took up his time with Ramona to the supermarket. Then what about going on holiday?
When Arya changed her clothes and went out, Xavier stopped her. "Ask the driver to give you a ride
and fetch things for you."
Arya said yes and went out.
The villa was near the sea, some distance away from the shopping mall in the city center. Arya leaned
back in the chair in a daze. "Call me when we get there."
Arya said to the driver, afraid that she would fall asleep.
"Yes. Madam."
Arya closed her eyes in peace.
She slept for a while and the driver woke her up when they got there.
After entering the supermarket, Arya didn't go directly to the vegetable section, but walked around the
daily necessities section and bought some things that she didn't have at home. She pushed the
shopping cart and the driver followed behind.
Coming out of the daily necessities section, Arya pushed the cart towards the vegetable section. When
passing by the snack section, she saw the kind of chocolate that Ryan liked. When she reached out,
another hand fell on the chocolate box. Arya looked up and saw Caspar, who was also looking at him.
Both of them were stunned, then both smiled. "What a coincidence."
Caspar nodded. "I remember Ryan liked this." He picked up the box of chocolates and put it into Arya's
shopping cart.
"You came alone?" Arya saw that there was no shopping cart around him, who was empty-handed.
Caspar smiled. "It depends."
Arya was confused. What did he mean?
Caspar didn't keep her guessing. "I'm alone now but will be not in a while."
"Hmm?" Arya looked at him in confusion. She still didn't understand.
Caspar laughed. But he felt somewhat blue since his parents forced him on a blind date with Alice.
However, she seemed to have disappeared from the world. "I'm here for a blind date." Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Arya felt a little surprised, but when she thought about Caspar's family, she then recovered.
After all, he was the only son in the Caspar family now, so his parents naturally placed all their hopes
on him. It was most parents' wish to see their son start a family and set up a career.
Caspar had a stable job and a certain reputation in the industry, but he encountered obstacles in love.
So naturally, his family would be anxious.
"Let's go upstairs to the coffee shop for a while?" Caspar said.
Arya glanced at her watch. There was still some spare time, so she agreed. She turned to the driver
and said, "Wait in the rest area for a while."
The driver nodded and pushed the shopping cart towards the rest area.
Arya and Caspar left the shopping area and went upstairs in the elevator.
There weren't many people in the coffee shop, since it was afternoon and the peak human traffic was
at night.
Arya sat down in the seat inside. Caspar sat down opposite her and called the waiter. "What would you
like?"
"Whatever." She had no special drink in mind.
Caspar smiled. "Then I'll order it for you."
He opened the menu that the waiter had handed him. "Two cups of Mocha."
"How's Ryan?" Caspar asked.
"She's fine," Arya said. She looked at Caspar and then gave up enquiring,
He was here for a blind date, and then he certainly didn't find Alice.
Caspar pursed his lips and understood what Arya was trying to ask. "I'm not young anymore. I can't
wait for someone all my life."
Helen's death was a big blow to the two elders in the family, so they distracted their attention to
Caspar's marriage.
He couldn't act out of his own will.
Arya understood.
At this moment, a woman walked into the coffee shop. She looked around and her gaze fell on Arya
and Caspar...
