Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 809

Was that why she was so impetuous?

The inexplicable matter between him and Danica, plus Alicia's time of the month, or even the pressure about pregnancy... With all these running through his mind, Frederick felt that he had figured out the cause of change in Alicia's emotions.

If it was only due to physical and psychological conditions, then things were all logical and reasonable, making her behavior easier to understand and accept.

Secretly, he breathed a sigh of relief. He felt that he would be fine as long as he was willing to be more considerate and forgiving during this unusual time.

In fact, he was really scared earlier when Nicholas suddenly asked her about herself. He could understand the pressure she was facing.

He knew very well how much she wanted to have a baby!

Moreover, he had made her angry. Her attitude would then be understandable!

Downstairs, the two careless and inexperienced men continued their vague speculations, and had finally arrived at a conclusion. They then chatted for a while longer, before Frederick saw Nicholas out.

At that moment upstairs, Alicia wandered as she waited for Frederick. After a while, without even changing into her pajamas, she fell asleep on the bed.

When Frederick returned to the room, he saw the person sleeping soundly on the bed. He was planning to talk to her, but since she was asleep, he could only tuck her into bed. He fondled her eyebrows that were knitted even in her sleep and lowered his head to kiss her forehead gently. "Silly girl..."

"No matter what happens, with or without a child, I will never betray you. My love for you will never change," he thought.

He gently stroked the hair on her forehead. Frederick sat by the bed side quietly, and stared at her for a long time. She, who was sound asleep, was like an innocent child, so pure and at peace.

"Don't give yourself too much pressure! Ally, it's not your sole responsibility to carry on the family lineage. It's just an icing on the cake, not a must- have in life. Do you understand this..."

He rubbed her small hand against his forehead and kissed the back of her hand affectionately. "You're the most important person in my life! I love you, forever and always!"

He closed his eyes and repeated countless times in his mind, "I love you, forever and always!"

On the same day, Trevor was jolted awake by a hit. The next second, he heard a thud. He hurriedly switched on the lights and saw Victoria had fallen off the bed. She didn't get up and just kept groaning in pain.NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

"Ugh..."

"Vicky!" What's wrong?

In an instant, Trevor ran towards Victoria, only to see her curled up at the head of the bed, with her hands behind her head. She trembled and groaned.

"Ugh..."

"Vicky, wake up, don't be afraid!"

Trevor took her hand and tried to pick her up, but when he stretched out his hand, he was shocked to find her entire body stiff. For a moment, he could not move her.

"Why is there so much water?" He thought.

Trevor reached out his hand and felt heat. He cursed in a low voice, "D*mn it! She has a fever!"

Trevor held her up with all his strength and laid her on the bed. "Vicky, wake up, you have a fever!

Honey, wake up and relax. Don't be afraid..."

Trevor uncurled her little by little and took a tissue to wipe the sweat off her forehead. Even after drinking ginger soup and taking some herbal medicine, she still didn't wake up!

Trevor got up and went to look for a few antipyretics. Then, he came over with a towel.

He fed her the medicine and some water. Then, he gently wiped her mouth and said, "Vicky, wake up. Can you hear me?"

Trevor looked at her blinking eyes and her gaze travelled around the room. He waved his hand, afraid that her fever had confused her. "Blood, ghost-"

"It's dirty and so smelly! Let me out. Is anyone there? Open the door!"

In a daze, Victoria shut her eyes again. She instinctively clenched her hands into fists and started punching the air. Her body swayed along, as if she was going to hit something.

Trevor caressed her sweaty hair and laid her down in bed. "It's okay, it's okay. It's all over, you're already out! Wake up! You're dreaming!"

"Ghost, ghost... don't follow me!"

"Stop staring at me..."

She mumbled as Trevor held her in his arms. She calmed down gradually. However, her cry made Trevor's eyes widened as what she said before popped into his mind.

"Hubby, do you feel like someone is following us?"

The next second, his gaze fell on Victoria's face. "Was her premonition at the door of the restaurant real? Is there really someone at the company who kept following us?"

"Her being locked up in the bathroom wasn't just a simple prank? That person was intentionally targeting her?" He thought to himself. Trevor held her tightly, constantly patting her to comfort her. However, his eyes were dark.

After taking a nap whilst sitting down, Trevor reached out his hand to touch her forehead. He then used a thermometer to take her temperature once more. "Why is her fever not retreating?"

Seeing that it was getting brighter outside, Trevor checked the time. He wiped her face with a cold towel. After that, he took a short nap with her in his

arms.

When he opened his eyes again, it was almost dawn. Victoria was still sleeping in his arms but she was no longer making noises, nor was she as stiff as before. She seemed to be quiet and at ease when she

was

tucked safely in his embrace.

He touched her forehead again. She was still sweating. He reached out for the thermometer and took her temperature; it was still nearly 39 degrees.

How could it go down so little? She wasn't even sweating as much anymore, but why wasn't she getting better?

"This won't do!" He concluded.

Then, he picked up his phone.

Soon, Carson came over with a medical kit. He checked her body and then inserted an IV into her arm.

"What's the matter? Why is she sweating so much? Why wouldn't she wake up? Is she okay?"

After getting up and adjusting himself, Carson looked over to Trevor.

"She has a fever and is sweating

profusely. She seemed to be frightened and was very troubled by

nightmares Hence, she was

protecting herself and resisting whatever she was scared of

el

subconsciously; but her resistant

was weak, causing this to happen! What on earth is she afraid of? Why is she so tense? It was even difficult for me to insert the needles! The bruise on her arm seemed to be caused by a bump, a hard bump-" Carson explained.

Trevor thought of the shocking scene at the company. He was dumbstruck the first time he

saw it.

As he thought hard about it, he started telling Carson, "Maybe it's because she was splashed with water and was wet for a long time. She was also

shocked by fake blood! Is she fine now? What should I do?"

"Let's get rid of the fever first and wait for her to wake up! As long as the fever is gone, she should be fine after. If the fever does not go down, we'd have to change the medicine

and think of another way! Her physical illness can be cured; I'm just afraid that she can't get over this mentally. It is like how some comatose patients can't wake up because they are not strong enough to bear with reality, resulting in them subconsciously trying to escape it rather than facing it! Fortunately, you weren't late in discovering her condition. If you were, she would have gone mad due to the fever, even if she wasn't petrified. Never underestimate the ruthless effects of a fever. Minor illnesses could always lead to major diseases!"
