Chapter 749 Online Influencers
Chapter 749 Online Influencers
A deep line appeared between Claudia's brows when she heard his words. “I'm afraid I'll die without even seeing my grandchildren. You've never considered others in your plans. You're stubborn and self-centered.”
Tobias retorted, “If that's your worry, perhaps you should discuss it with Sheldon. It seems he might make you a grandmother sooner than you think. I've heard he's been quite committed in his recent relationship.”
At that moment, Sheldon entered the room. Had it not been for his timely entrance, he wouldn't have been aware that his older brother had thrust him into the spotlight.
Sheldon instantly felt a sense of impending trouble, so his first instinct was to close the door and make an escape. However, before he could do so, Tobias called out to him, “Why are you leaving so soon? I heard that you have been dating an online influencer. You even gifted her a house and land.”
Fearful of Claudia's nagging, Sheldon furrowed his brows and discreetly signaled to Tobias, silently imploring him to stop talking.
Later, Sheldon let out a sigh of relief and complained, “Tobias, you shouldn't set me up like this. When did you start caring about online influencers?” Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
In truth, Tobias had no real interest in the matter. However, his younger brother had embarrassed him. If he didn't control Sheldon's finances, the money would deplete rapidly every month.
The expenses incurred from his womanizing pursuits were quite substantial.
Tobias raised his hand to decline the cigarette offered by Sheldon. “I'm unwilling to control your spending, but I can't let others take advantage of you. Every time you get into a relationship, it's
always intense and passionate, but in the end, it's all in vain. You gain nothing and end up being manipulated.”
Scratching his head, Sheldon replied, “Tobias, what kind of outcome are you expecting? Marriage? If you're not getting married, how can I get married first? Am I right?”
Tobias couldn't be bothered to engage in a lengthy conversation with Sheldon. The latter changed girlfriends so frequently that he couldn't even remember their names.
He had no idea how much longer it would take for Sheldon to be a man who knows his responsibilities.
Sheldon, too, was not interested in continuing the conversation. He was well aware that his elder brother would never give his blessings for any of his romantic relationships.
Sheldon sneered, “I watched Skylar's movie to show her my support. Can't you advise her to be more discerning when selecting scripts? What was that film even about? I fell asleep halfway through. No wonder it has such a high screening rate but poor box office performance. Skylar may look gorgeous in it, but the plot is shallow, and the production quality is suboptimal. And guess what? Ingrid acted in the movie too. Damn it! Won't anyone have mercy on me? Seeing her face on the big screen makes me want to puke last night's dinner. I know we don't share the same mother, but seriously? Marcus looks decent, so why is his sister so repulsive? She should be grateful that she was born into a wealthy family. If she were from a less privileged background, she wouldn't be able to find a husband.”
Tobias had yet to watch the movie in which Skylar starred. He had heard mixed reviews about it; most criticized the film but praised Skylar's beauty.
Just as Sheldon was about to continue complaining, Tobias interrupted him. “Enough. Skylar has probably heard enough of these negative comments. It's affecting her self-esteem, and she's
questioning herself every day.”
Sheldon didn't feel that Skylar was that emotionally fragile and wondered how she could possibly be depressed.
It was getting late, and he had made plans to meet Judy for dinner.
When Sheldon mentioned his dinner plan to Tobias, the latter asked, “Has Judy said anything to you recently?”
